On November 21, 2024, a meeting of various logistics projects took place at the Jade University of Applied Sciences. Richard Schulte and Mattes Leibenath from the Smart Mobility Institute at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences also had the opportunity to present the GDA project on site. The event provided a platform for the exchange of innovative approaches aimed at sustainable solutions to the challenges of last-mile logistics. The following projects also presented themselves there:
- Citylogistic 2.0: a cross-border Interreg VI project that is developing a low-emission distribution system. The focus is on an energy self-sufficient, mobile mini-hub and a specially designed electric vehicle (LEFV). The aim is to reduce CO2 emissions in city centers and enable climate-neutral delivery.
- LIHYP – Linking Hydrogen Power Potentials: An Interreg B project that includes a pilot project in Oldenburg with a hydrogen-powered Cargobike.
- ULaaDS – Urban Logistics as an on-Demand Service: A project of the University of Groningen that tests innovative approaches for demand-driven urban logistics.
- Rytle: Our project partner company that offers insights into sustainable parcel delivery with modular logistics solutions and LEFVs.
A big thank you to:
- Rainer Schwerdhelm, who made the event at Jade University possible,
- Niels Huttenhuis from Fulpra and Tim Nijboer from Dynteq, who shared their experiences from the Citylogistic 2.0 project,
- Ingrid Klinge for the presentation of LIHYP,
- Paul Buijs from the University of Groningen for his insights into ULaaDS,
- Ronald Rose von Rytle, Rose from Rytle, who presented his vision for the last mile,
- and of course all participants for the inspiring discussions.
The meeting once again highlighted the importance of collaboration between science, business and municipalities to make logistics more sustainable. Green Delivery Analytics is looking forward to further networking with projects such as Citylogistic 2.0 to advance data-based approaches to optimize last-mile logistics. Together we can actively shape the transformation of urban logistics!
